12 Days Of Christmas: Day 3

Despite it being a joyous occasion, there’s no doubt that the holiday season can be stressful. But, there are a number of ways to ease the burden and help support your overall health too!
Our ginger tea recipes taste great, support overall joint health and contain anti-inflammatory ingredients to help naturally relieve pain. The first recipe is sweet and simple, while the second packs more of a punch. Both, however, will keep you warm, happy and pain-free! Check them out:
Ingredients:
- 1 Litre of Water
- 3cm Fresh Ginger
- Lemon Juice
- Honey
Let’s Begin:
- Boil 1 litre of water on the stove.
- Grate or chop the ginger and place into the boiling water.
- Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Filter the tea (removing ginger pieces).
- Add 1 tspn of lemon juice and honey.
- Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 3cm Fresh Ginger
- 1 Lemon
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Honey (or Agave Nectar)
- Cayenne Pepper
- Freshly Ground Pepper
Let’s Begin:
- Stick the kettle on and fill a large glass (or large mug) with hot water. Start by grating the piece of ginger into it, then add the turmeric and a pinch of both cayenne pepper and freshly ground pepper. Stir well for 2-3 minutes.
- Next, mix 1 teaspoon of honey (or agave nectar) into your tea and let it steep until it reaches your preferred drinking temperature. Make sure to stir it every now and then!
- Finally, squeeze the lemon into the tea and stir.
