Dr. Med. Petra Bracht

She’s a doctor with a vision. For over thirty years, she’s been helping people suffering from pain. But what drives her?

Doctor. Nutritionist. Best-Selling Author.

Exercise and nutrition are the pillars of the Liebscher & Bracht Therapy — and they’re as closely related as the married couple who founded the company.

The key to living a life free of pain is a combination of the right exercise and a proper diet. While Roland is busy showing the world pain-relieving exercises, Petra is spreading the word about how nutrition affects pain.

Exercise and nutrition have a tremendous effect on our health. But despite being a doctor and licenced nutritionist, Petra questioned conventional theories about diet and nutrition.

Helping Others is Petra’s Passion.

Even after almost 40 years of practising as a doctor, Petra’s passion for helping people and making a difference is as fresh as ever. When Petra talks about her work, it’s evident that medicine and nutrition were her calling.

Petra decided to become a doctor because of a personal tragedy. When she was a young girl, her foster mother became seriously ill. Petra hoped that by studying medicine, she would learn what she needed to know to help her.

Unfortunately, Petra’s mother passed away before she completed her studies.

“If I had known then what I know now, my mother would have recovered,” Petra says.

Eye-Opening Experiences with Treatments.

After finishing her studies, Petra worked at a hospital in India and then at the Frankfurt University Hospital.

Both experiences left Petra feeling disillusioned. She never felt like she was effectively treating the patients. She found conventional treatment methods and theories limiting, and the approach to patients cold.

Petra’s dissatisfaction drove her to find treatments that would work. She discovered naturopathy and orthomolecular medicine. Naturopathy is a system that treats the whole person — body, mind and spirit — with natural remedies. Orthomolecular medicine uses nutritional supplements to preserve health.

Petra incorporated naturopathy and orthomolecular medicine into her treatments and was astonished by the results. Often, simple diet and lifestyle changes were enough to relieve her patients’ pain and help them become healthy.

People Can Heal Themselves.

What Roland discovered in exercise, Petra found in nutrition: people can heal themselves. Often, people don’t need medication or surgery. They need to listen to their ‘inner doctor,’ as Petra calls it. (These are the warning signs our body gives us when we’re harming ourselves.)

Petra’s book “Bio Tuning, Easier Living” combines her discoveries of health and nutrition and Roland’s discoveries of wellness and exercise for the first time. The combination of Petra’s and Roland’s ideas laid the foundation for the Liebscher & Bracht Therapy.

The concept: encourage people to take responsibility for their health and pain relief by providing proper exercise and nutrition information.

Petra and Roland have continued to develop and refine the Liebscher & Bracht Therapy. Petra is now a recognised nutritionist and author of several best-selling books. In 2020, she published “Nutrition in Plain Language,” which she co-authored with renowned nutritionist Prof. Dr. Claus Leitzmann. Petra’s YouTube channel, the largest German-language channel from a female doctor, provides more than 160,000 subscribers with expert tips and advice on nutrition and health.
