It\u2019s also the most <strong>prone to injury and misalignment.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your atlas becomes misaligned, you may suffer from:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Regular tension headaches.<\/strong> The most common of headaches, tension headaches, cause pain in your neck, head and behind your eyes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Stiff neck.<\/strong> Your neck feels sore, and moving your head is painful, particularly if you try to move it from side to side.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Neck aches, or your <strong>neck feels tender.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Neck pain<\/strong> that is so intense it interrupts your sleep or prevents you from sleeping.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Jaw pain.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Dizziness.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>A burning sensation<\/strong> that may travel from your neck to the shoulder and arm.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Increased blood pressure.<sup><a href=\"#\" class=\"lnb-footnote-anchor\" data-group=\"lnb-footnote-1\">1)<\/a><\/sup><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are many causes for a misaligned atlas. aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hold for about 40 seconds.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Press your head <strong>as forcefully as you can against the pull of your hands<\/strong> and hold for 10 seconds.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stop pressing against your hands and pull your head deeper into the stretch.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hold for about 10 seconds more and finish.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Repeat the stretch turning your head slightly to the left.<\/span><\/li>\n<li
